Bray Young Peoples Facilities and Services Fund

 County Wicklow VEC is lead agency providing financial, administrative and evaluation support to the following projects: Little Bray Youth Project, Little Bray Family Resource Centre; St Fergal's Youth Project, Ballywaltrim Community Centre, Bray Youth Service (Adventure Sport Project, At Risk Youth Project, Seomra (Carlisle House)), Sports Promotion Unit, FAI Development Worker, Small Grants Fund, Floodlighting at Little Bray Community Centre, Ballywaltrim Recreational Park and Fergal Ógs GAA pitch. Other recent projects include support towards the building of changing facilities at Loreto Bray Community Sports Project and development of the main pitch and other sporting facilities at St Kilian’s Community School.

Bray Young Peoples Facilities and Services Fund is managed by Bray Local Development Group (BLDG) consisting of representatives from County Wicklow VEC, Bray Town Council, Bray Area Partnership, Bray Local Drugs Task Force and Community Representatives.

Bray Youth Service

County Wicklow VEC provides funding for this service via the Office of Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.

Catholic Youth Care manages projects at Bray Town Centre, Ballywaltrim and Little Bray. They also manage a Youth Information Centre. Youth services are provided to outlying towns in North Wicklow by Bray Youth Service

Bray Local Drugs Task Force

County Wicklow VEC is lead agency providing financial, administrative and evaluation support to the following projects: Little Bray Drop In Project, Ballywaltrim Drop In Project, Marian Centre Ltd (supporting breakfast and homework clubs), Catholic Youth Care, Headlamps School Support Project providing support workers at five primary schools in the town

Arklow Young Peoples Facilities and Services Fund

County Wicklow VEC is lead agency providing financial, administrative and evaluation support to the following projects: Arklow Youth Centre, Once of initiatives, Small Grants Fund, FAI Development Worker.

Arklow Young People’s Facilities and Services Fund is managed by Arklow Local Development Group (ALDG) consisting of representatives from County Wicklow VEC, Arklow Town Council, East Coast Regional Drugs Tasks Force.

East Wicklow Youth Service

County Wicklow VEC provides funding for this service via the Office of Minister for Children and Youth Affairs.

Catholic Youth Care manages projects in Arklow at the new Arklow Youth Centre, Coomie Lane and in Wicklow Town.

 

South Western Regional Drugs Task Force

Co Wicklow VEC is lead agency providing financial, administrative and evaluation support for the development of the Blessington d’Caf project.

 

East Coast Regional Drugs Task Force

Co Wicklow VEC is represented on this Task Force and its various sub committees. The Task Force provides funding throughout Co. Wicklow and parts of Dublin for Addiction, Rehabilitation, Counselling and Youth Services.
